"How to speak South African”

In South Africa, now now does not mean now,  just now could mean absolutely anything, and shame is a complete sentence. This piece is a little collection of the words and sayings that make perfect sense to South Africans — but requires a full explanation to everyone else.

A celebration of the strange, funny, to the point, not to the point and wonderful way we speak. We don't only have 12 official languages (including sign language) — but in between all of them, we’ve created another one. A beautiful, rich slang dripping with our cultural heritage and with Jesus at the center of it all. His name is truly the ONE WORD we always want on our lips.
